Air Alliance Medflight has been chosen as the Air Ambulance Provider of the Year for 2017 by the International Travel and Health Insurance Journal. The award is highly coveted among air ambulance companies and was regularly won by REVA during the previous years. This year, the honour went to Air Alliance because of their outstanding service and improvement in the field.
Three Air Ambulance Companies were Finalists
Every year, the International Travel and Health Insurance Journal choose finalists for the award, out of which they decide on which one is the most deserving. This year, the three finalists for the Air Ambulance Provider of the Year award were Air Alliance Medflight, ACE Air & Ambulance (Pvt) Ltd, and Tyrol Air Ambulance GmBH.
The winners of the award were announced on Thursday, November 9 in Barcelona. In addition to the Air Ambulance Provider of the Year award, ITIJ gave out several other awards such as the International Travel and Health Insurer of the Year award, the Medical Provider of the Year award, the Specialist Service Provider of the Year award, and more.
Each of these awards had different sponsors. For the Air Ambulance Provider of the Year award, the official sponsor was UC San Diego Health. A representative of UC San Diego Health, Larry Baker said that Air Alliance was chosen because they proved themselves to be worthy winners amidst all the other air ambulance companies, which were strong competitors.
Factors to Play a Role in their Win
The decision to name Air Alliance as Air Ambulance Company of the Year 2017 resulted from the company’s commitment to update their fleet and maintain continuous growth. The company also has international setups, which gave them an even bigger reason to win. Air Alliance has bases in the U.K, Austria, and Germany.
